Mask 179
Let’s Get Started.
Copy the 179.jpg mask to My Documents/My PSP Files/Masks or to a folder in which you keep your masks.
Open HanneicaGold.jpg in PSP
Set your Background to Pattern, Angle 0, Scale 100.
Open the Material Properties folder and choose the pattern HanneicaGold
(this will appear at the top of the folder).
Set your foreground to Gradient.
For your gradient, open the Material Properties folder and choose Foreground-background from your gradients folder, style Linear, Angle 45, Repeats 3,
Invert Unchecked,
Foreground and stroke color on R104/G46/B101 and
Background and fill color on R219/G197/B216.
Open HEB_Selections.pspimage
Although this will appear to be an empty canvas,
it is not empty;
it contains all the selections needed,
saved to the alpha channels.
Duplicate this file (Shift D) and close the original.
Selections - Select All.
Flood fill with the background pattern.
Tip:This can be done in two ways.
1. Swap your materials around in your materials box and left click in the selection on the canvas with the flood fill tool.
2. This is the quicker option – right click in the selection on the canvas with the flood fill tool.
Selections – Modify – Contract 2. Flood fill with the foreground gradient.
Effects – Plugins – Andrew’s Filters 59 – Into The Extreme with these settings.
Selections – Select None.
Rename Raster 1 as Background 1
I would advise saving your file at this time.
File – Save As – HanneicaEmperorButterflies.pspimage
Tip: It is advisable to save regularly throughout your production. This alleviates any loss should there be any problems arising. You will then be able to go back to your last save without losing any work.
Add a new layer, naming it Background 2.
Selections – Load/Save Selections –
Load Selections from the Alpha Chanel – Load Selection #2
Flood fill with the background pattern.
Selection – Modify – Contract 2.
Press the Delete key on your keybourd.
Tip: This leaves a frame of gold 2 pixels wide as this deletes whatever is now within the selection.
Selections – Select None.
Save.
Add a new layer, naming it Central Frame
Selections – Load/Save Selection –
Load Selection from Alpha Channel – Selection#1 – Load.
Flood fill with the background pattern.
Selections – Modify – Contract 5
Flood fill with the fofreground gradient.
Effectes – Texture – Mozaic Glass
Selections – Select None.
Effects – 3D Effects – Drop shadow with the following settings.
Note: Drop Shadow colour #451f43 = R69/G31/B67
Add a new Raster Layer.
Open the HEB_Face.pspimage file provided and duplicate.
Close the original. Edit – Copy.
On your working pallet with your new layer highlighted:
Selections – Select All.
Edit – Paste – Paste Into Selection.
Selections – Select None.
Image – Mirror.
Effects – Image Effects – Seamless Tiling with the following settings:
Adjust – Blur – Gaussian Blur, Radius 25.
Open file GoldLaceWhiteBG.pspimage.
Select lace layer – Edit – Copy.
On your working pallet add a new Raster Layer.
Selections – Load/Save Selection –
Load Selection from Alpha Channel –
Load Selection 1.
Selections – Modify – Contract 5
Edit – Paste – Paste into Selection
Adjust – Shaprness – Sharpen
Leave the Selection open
Add a new Raster Layer
Highlight the blured face layer on your layer pallet and Edit – Copy.
Go to the new Raster Layer and Edit – Paste – Paste into Selection.
Place this layer below the Lace and reduce to 50%
Delete the original Blurred Face layer.
Selctions – Select None
Open the HEB_Butterfly.pspimage file.
Duplicate the file and close the original.
Select all – Selections – Modify – Color Range
Reference color R210/G57?B94
Tolerence 100 – Softness 25
Subtract color Range
Selections – Selection Invert
Adjust – Color Balance – Manual Color Correction.
Source R210/G57?B94
Target R104/G46/B101
Selections – Select None
Edit – Copy
Return to working pallet and paste as new layer,
placing to the right of the lace area.
Image – Resize 75%, all layers unchecked.
Reduce Layer opacity to 75% and Change Blend Mode to Luminance.
Open your Raster Deform Tool and resize the X scale of the butterfly to 75%
Replace butterfly at right bottom corner of lace.
Open the face tube, Edit – Copy and Edit –
Paste – Paste as a new Layer to the working area.
Place sides in line with insides of the left side of the gold central frame.
Layers – Load/Save Mask – Load Mask from Disk
Mask 179
Layers – Delete – Yes
Layers – Merge – Merge Group
Effects – 3D – Drop Shadow
V=0, H=6, Opacity 50, Blur 12, Color as before.
Select the butterfly layer and add the same drop shadow.
Duplicate the butterfly layer.
Image – Resize - 35% all layers unchecked.
Move to the left top and rotate by 100° so that it flies to the right and appears as though the girl is looking at it.
Change the opacity of the layer to 90%
Add your watermark on a new Raster Layer and ,
if you wish, your name and you are done.
